AHB facilitates key business linkages with specific health markets, based on the client’s requirements, on the African national and/or regional level. We design full business delegation trips and take care of all logistical arrangements on the ground. This includes large key stakeholder introduction meetings, business to business matchmaking meetings and field trips for international delegates to see first-hand how healthcare is being delivered at country level.
AHB offers a business delegation package that includes hosting and advising high-level health business delegations for international groups or missions seeking to enter or learn more about opportunities in the African healthcare market. AHB offers the following packages
AHB facilitates the organization of a high level seminar. Together with the client, we identify the details of the seminar. This includes the type and number of expert speakers, high level officials and participants. The plenary seminar usually has 80+ participants. AHB manages the entire database development, RSVP process, agenda drafting, speaker and official management and protocols, venue and logistics, registration, moderation, reporting and press coverage.
Thematic roundtable sessions with around eight to ten participants. Our roundtables have proven to be very effective and informative to participants of international health delegations. Several roundtable sessions run simultaneously to each other and create an overview and deep understanding of what is going on “on the ground”. AHB has designed roundtable sessions with targeted topics and local experts in various countries across different health areas.
B2B meetings are pre-arranged, targeted appointments for delegation participants to meet with potential clients and partners. The meetings are an ideal way for businesses to build connections, learn more about the local business landscape and find potential cooperation partners in a short amount of time.
Field visits provide first-hand insight and understanding of a country’s healthcare system, its challenges and opportunities. AHB has organized delegation field visits to healthcare facilities, pharmaceutical manufacturing plants, distribution centers, medical warehouses and various healthcare development projects.
In addition to high level seminar, international trade delegations or missions can host smaller side sessions with expert speakers, a moderator and interactive discussions. The number of participants in this type of session is usually around 20-30 local invitees, smaller than the seminar to allow for more interactive engagements. AHB has created and managed multiple workshops and various thematic health side sessions as stand-alone activities or as part of an international trade delegation or mission.
